Secong part of the 20th Chapter


“Now will you tell me what my gift is?”

“You just got it boy”, I teased touching his soft cheeks with my lips.
I could have kissed him repeatedly until I grew weary of it. Somewhere in the distance, the tower bells rang in the city centre. It was twelve in the midnight, first of September.

“Happy birthday Bill” I chimed getting up “Come on lets go home”

“Nein, I wanna stay here longer, it’s so beautiful,” he begged pulling me closer

“I have something to show you,” I told him. His eyes widened, twinkling with a sudden light.

“Is it my gift?”

I did not say anything but took his hand in mine and guided him back to my house. I just prayed that mum had not fallen asleep. I wanted things to go as planned, and not end up looking embarrassed in front of him.

“Won’t you be disturbing your mother?”

“I’m sure not”

After waiting outside for less than 2 minutes the door opened and my mum stood there with a cake in one hand, singing in her sweet voice.

“Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you
Happy Birthday happy Birthday, Happy Birthday to you”


Bill's *POV*

I was in shock. Seeing Mrs. Williams sing for me was a real surprise. Alex joined her as well and pulled me inside closing the door behind her.

“Happy birthday Bill” Mrs. Williams said inviting me to cut the cake. It looked delicious, with all the layers of chocolate. Moreover, they had actually put 19 candles on it. I am a sucker for such things all right and it really did get me emotional.

“I don’t know what to say”

“Don’t say anything then, just cut it” Alex joked, snaking her arms around me.

“That’s a good suggestion”

“Of course it is”

Overwhelmed by the extent to which Alex had gone to celebrate my birthday, I almost immediately felt sorry for Tom. Poor thing had refused to come thinking he would not be able to be explicit with Kim. Now at least I had something to tease him with.
I gave Alex a bite of the cake when she ended up licking my fingers.

“Okay I’ll leave you two to enjoy the rest of the cake now, but be careful chocolate can do more things than you’d want to do in my presence.” She smiled.

I blushed like a cherry, but she laughed it off along with her daughter.

“Don’t worry mum, he’s the virgin here”

I slapped her discreetly on her thigh, whining a bit because she was really thwarting me.

“Do you know you have chocolate all around your lips?” she asked

“Oh, then why don’t you help me get it off?”
“With pleasure” and we were back to square one kissing each other. She coiled her arms around me, literally clinging onto me, because I was so much taller than she was.

“Thank you,” I said

“Don’t even mention it”

Everything around me came to a stand still as all I could concentrate on was her body touching my own and her tongue playing with my ring.

“Bill will you ever leave me?” she asked pulling away. I thought she was just joking, but her eyes were serious. She wanted a truthful answer.

“Nein my Angel, I can never leave you. You’re the best thing that has ever happened to me”

She smiled and looked at the clock again. “Stay here tonight. I don’t have a problem and mum said its okay”, she answered before I could ask her anything.

I considered my options – if I went back home I stood a chance of ‘disturbing’ Tom and Kim, and if, it was a big if though, they were progressing towards some things and I barged in, Tom would kill me. On the other hand, if I stayed, we could do some progressing of our own.

“Okay, I have no issues with staying back.”

She smiled and hugged me. “The last to reach the room will have to sleep on the floor” she rapidly declared and ran towards the room.

“Hey! That’s unfair” I called and ran after her, but she obviously reached before me.
“I will not sleep on the floor”

“But you lost, I came in before you” she taunted

I gave her big puppy eyes, but she did not melt, so I had to kiss her again.

“Okay, now that you paid the penalty, you can sleep on the bed” she chimed in. it was surprising as to how with everything she did, she made me smile. I jumped onto the bed next to her, snuggling under the sheets. The moment she took my support, she fell asleep. My Angel was next to me and I took all the vows I could to make sure I’d always be there for her whenever she needed me.

“I love you Alex,” I whispered into the night. A smile on her face was the last thing I saw before falling asleep.

Bill’s *POV*

“You – bitches – had – chocolate – cake – to – eat – at – midnight!” Tom fumed.
It was unfair…at least according to him it was. We ate chocolate cake, and he did not, when I shared his birthday.

“Well I told you to come with us. You are the one who refused” Alex taunted.

He poked his tongue out at her.

“Oh stop teasing him Alex, just give him the cake”

“What I was having fun!” she pouted

“You got the cake for me?”

“Yes bitch I did. I had to snatch it from this twin of yours though…eating like a pig!”

“Hey!” I rebelled “You called me a pig”

“Yeah I did” she chuckled good-naturedly and kissed me delicately. “Where’s Kim?” she asked later

“Uh she was tired so she didn’t come today” Tom replied

“Tired, what did you do last night” she teased, looking at him mischievously

“Nothing, nothing I swear” As if she was going to stop taunting if he got so defensive!

“Oh, is that all you think about Alex?” he said winking and jumped back to avoid her slap. “Anyway, give me my chocolate cake, so I can go to meet Kimmy again. She’ll kill me if I get late again”

“Ah alright”

15 minutes after Tom left, Alex and I made to her place again. We had to meet the other two at the park in the evening, which gave us close to 3 hours of peace.

“I still have not received my gift you know” I joked spinning her around in my arms. She suddenly stopped and pulled me closer.

“Wait, I will give it, as soon as I know what to give. So for now, be happy with my kisses”

He soft lips touched mine. I always felt at piece when she was with me, around me, in front of my eyes. I felt restless without her. At night, I could not sleep without talking to her. During the day, I could not concentrate on my lessons if she was absent. I was addicted to her, like a drug, and she knew it.

I kissed her back, holding her tighter. “You are here with me that is all I need”

“I love you Bill”, she breathed, her fingers traveling slowly, almost strategically on my back. I closed my eyes, feeling her touch. Bending down I kissed her again, but her delicate touch became rough. It was becoming violent and I was enjoying it, perhaps more than she was.

Intertwining her fingers into mine, she moved backwards towards the kitchen counter for support. My pulse quickened with every second that raced past us. Breaking apart, she sat on the counter, and then pulled me again to restart out kiss. Her legs coiled around my waist, as did her hands around my neck.

I was beginning to feel the heat rise in me when her lips touched my cheek. Slowly, teasingly she kissed my neck, opening the first two buttons of my shirt. I let her do what she wanted, because I wanted it as bad.

The doorbell rang, but she did not stop, I had to stop her.

“Someone’s at the door,” I whispered

“They can wait”

“What if it’s your mum?”

She gave me her puppy face and got off the counter, fixing her hair a bit. I watched her body sway in rhythm, my heart refusing to calm down. I hoped all this not to be a dream.
I could not see what was going on in the front room, because the kitchen did not give a direct view of the door, but I could hear three different voices. One was Alex’s, but the other two I did not recognize. Curious to know who it was, I walked to the front room, forgetting that my shirt buttons were open. Staring at me were two pairs of eyes…and I immediately recognized whom they belonged to.

“Bill…” she started nervously “Meet Mikey and Gerard”

OH YES!!! MIKEY AND GERARD ARE HERE !!! Let the good times roll!!! <3 <3 <3 Gerard and Mikey so damn much!!!
More please, this story has elements of all my favourite things in the following order: Bill!! Tom!! You and Kim, GERARD, Frank (sort of) and Mikey!!! Love it!!!

I was ecstatic, shocked, in dilemma, guilty and numb all at the same time if that is possible. Gee and Mikey were standing right in front of me, beaming, Bill was standing behind me as confuse as a 10 year old child. I didn’t know what to do myself. I hadn’t told them that I was dating again. They knew Bill, yes, true, but they didn’t know I was dating him for the past 2 months. I had a tough day ahead and I knew it.

“Bill this is Gee and Mikey” I introduced

He looked at me in a daze. He wanted to leave, I read it in his eyes. But I wanted him to stay. I couldn’t bear facing them alone when I was the guilty party.

“Alex aren’t you happy to see us?” Gerard asked

“Of course I am!” Tears started pouring out, releasing all of my happiness. I truly was happy to see them both. It had been ages since I had seen them. I hugged them both, all of a sudden not wanting to let go.

“Hi Bill…right?” Gerard said smilingly

“Yeah, hi. I’ve heard so much about you two. I almost feel honored to meet you.” He replied

“So how have you been kid?” Mikey asked. I knew what he meant. I didn’t want to look at him. My happiness began to fade. How could I possibly tell them that I had moved on? I felt like a murderer then. I didn’t even know how they would react to it!

“I’ve been...fine.”

I was so torn at that moment. I couldn’t tell Mikey and Gerard that I was happy, nor could I say I was unhappy, because I didn’t know what Bill would make out of it.

“Is there something wrong Alex?”

“Huh...uhm…no” I lied.

“ Alex…I think I should leave, I – ‘

“No!” I exclaimed “ please don’t, just stay”

Gerard was shocked. Mikey raised his eyes. “What’s going on Alex?”

I knew I was stuck, but it had become inevitable. It took me all my strength to look up at those two. The sooner all of it got over, the better it was.

“Are you two going out Alex?” Gerard asked. There was no difference in his tone. And it some what eased me.

I just nodded. There was nothing else I could do. I had no ability to speak any more. Bill moved closer to me, but still didn’t come close enough to hold me, but even that gave me enough strength to look up.

Gerard was beaming at me and Bill, but Mikey didn’t think of it to be a happy occasion. I could see the trace of hurt on his face. Every line on his face accused me of a kind of betrayal. His stone cold look made me shiver a bit. Tears choked my eyes, blurring my vision.
He didn’t say anything. He just walked off slamming the door behind him.

I was stuck again.

“Oh shit.” Bill said guiltily, “I shouldn’t have come here today”
“Don’t be foolish, we would’ve gotten to know anyway.” Gee replied, looking at him kindly, then he turned to me and tried to convince me to go to Mikey.
“ARE YOU CRAZY!” I reacted. “He won’t listen to me Gee; you know how touchy he can get.”
“Even so, you are the only one person he listens to. Go to him, he will hear you out. And please for heavens sake wipe that guilt off your face. It was inhumanly possible for you to stay stuck on frank, kiddo; I am glad that you moved on.”
I had no words for him. I was so thankful that he understood at least. I felt the tears fall down rapidly as I moved forwards to hug him.

“Just go before he gets any more angrier at you.” He smiled.

I looked at Bill, who stood there so lost amongst all the happenings, but he still was there to give me the much needed invisible support. It could never have been as strong as Frank’s, but he was still there, and I was thankful for that.

I sighed deeply before making a move towards the door. Mikey hadn’t gone too far as I had thought, he was sitting on the railing of the boundary wall to the left of my house. He saw me shut the door and turned his face away immediately when he saw me looking. I walked nervously towards him, trying to think of what I was going to say to him. I felt so awkward, because Mikey was someone who had always looked out for me and supported me in everything, and his reaction made me feel so sick, like I had betrayed all that he had ever trusted me with.

If Mikey didn’t accept my relationship with Bill, it was never going to remain the same, which made me hate the situation I had gotten myself into even more hateful.

“Mikey.” I said in bare whispers
He didn’t look at me the first time, neither the second nor the third time.

“Mikey, please hear me out before stamping me as a whore. I love Frank, I do. There is not one day that passes by when I don’t think of him, but I couldn’t go on like this. It was hurting me.”

“Oh so now Frank’s memories are unbearable? How could you Alex?”

“Don’t get me wrong Mike, I said I still love Frank.”

“You make it sound like a favour.”

“NO! I was in a mess when Bill came and helped me out of it. Don’t you see why I love him? Yes I do love Bill and I can’t help it. Sometimes I feel sick for doing this to him, because 9 out of 10 days I moan about my loss, but he still hears me out. He lets me talk about Frank; he lets me tell him how much I loved Frank. How many guys do that Mikey?”

“Just stop Alex. I didn’t expect you to forget Frank so easily.”

“So you admit you wanted to see me miserable and half dead in his memory? You wanted me to sulk and be unhappy so that I could just kill myself and join him in heaven?”

“No, I didn’t mean that-“

“Then what did you mean?”

“I just…I…”

“I don’t want to believe he’s dead either Mikey, but after visiting his grave everyday, for nearly 5 months I am convinced that he won’t ever come back.”

I understood why Mikey had reacted that way. I was his only hope to believe that frank was still alive, that he had just gone on a holiday and would be back anytime soon and everything would just be back to how it was earlier. But now that I was with Bill his only chance of believing that Frank would come back was lost and he didn’t want to accept it.

“Mikey, please I am sorry.” I apologized, as fresh tears began to wet my cheeks.

He got down on the ground with a thud and pulled me into a tight embrace. My body relaxed when I felt his warmth. I missed the hugs he used to give me, because they were always so protective and loving.
I hugged him back with a strong sisterly instinct. “I have missed you so much.”

“Tell me, Italy sucks without you…and Frank.”

I smiled slightly, felling his pain draining out a bit. “I am sorry Alex; I was really cranky back there. I guess I was being a bit selfish.”

“Yeah, you can make up you know. Let’s go back in.”

He nodded and gave me his hand.


Bill’s *POV*

I was so ridiculously scared when the door opened after painfully silent 15 minutes. Gerard just sat back on the couch and started singing, so I had nothing else to do except stare at the ceiling. There wasn’t any picture of Alex in the room either that I could’ve stared at it.

“Okay a better introduction this time.” I saw Alex speak. I sighed in relief and smiled the best I could.

“Mikey meet Bill.”

“Hey, sorry for my annoying behavior earlier.”

“Nein, no problem.” I replied winking at Alex, happy to that smile on her face again.

The rest that followed just fell into place afterwards. We had a few drinks and just talked about anything and everything. Frank and Gerard actually told me stuff about Alex that I never thought she would do. I mean I knew there was a revenge side to her which I had already seen with Eddie but they narrated more stories about the things she’d done to those who had annoyed her.

“Are you serious?” I asked. I could feel my own eyes ready to bounce off my sockets when they told me she had actually put a handful of roaches in a girl’s bag who had been messing with her.

“Trust me, there is that day and there is today…and that girl has not said a word to Alex since then.” Mikey laughed

“What she was an irritating retard alright? With her bleach blonde hair and money and everything. I wanted to put the roaches in her food, but frank had stopped Me.” she said, her words full of regret.

“Wow, remind me not to mess with you.”

“Oh no, you should remind Tom everyday really, because I will kill him if he messes with Kim.”

“Jeez he wont.” I replied. But made a mental note to tell Tom anyway.

“OMFG! You gys need to meet Kim! she’ll be so happy to see you!” ale jumped up suddenly.

Immediately the two got up.

“Uhm…Tom and Kim are like at my place…should we call before going?”

“Oh, I want to walk in on them” Alex said evilly and winked at me playfully. How badly I wanted to catch hold off her at that moment and give her a kiss was known only to me. Somehow I was glad that Gerard and Mikey were now aware off the fact that she was dating me, because I think it had relieved her off the unconscious guilt that she was holding back. In a way I had a feeling that it was going to help our relationship.

Awwwwwwwwwww. I really like this! Finally they're content for now!!!!!!!!!!!!
