“Bill can you explain what you did back at the mall?” Tom demanded from his brother, standing on top his head like his mother.

“I didn’t do anything wrong.”

“Really? You stomped off, without an explanation.”

“So are you going to put me behind bars now?”

“Bill…what’s up with you? You know you can save us all this trouble and tell me what’s bothering you!”

“So much for twin-ness. I though you must have guessed by now.”

“I haven’t Bill, enlighten me why don’t you?”

“Tom, I love Chloe.”

He froze in his position and glared at Bill. “WHAT? Bill you WHAT?”

“I love her… I cannot help it Tom. I just…she just…”

“Jesus Bill! You are crazy! Since when have you liked her?”

“3 years Tom.”

“Why didn’t you tell me before you bitch? 3 years? You have liked her for 3 years. What were you doing until now? Why didn’t you ask her out?”

“I never had the guts. I was too scared to lose the friendship I have with her.”

“Oh kid, you idiot kid. Now she is going out with Sam!”

“Do you think I don’t know that?” I’m not blind!”

“BILLA, do you know how much you annoy me at times!”

“Shut up Tom, I don’t want to hear this.” He said and stomped off into his own room.

Tom felt like banging his head against a wall. Bill was impossible at times. He could think of doing just one thing – call Pav and tell her all that Bill had just confessed. However, her cell phone was switched off. He went online hoping to catch her on MSN.

“Oh thank god!” he sighed seeing her status as online.

.:Pav*so in love*:.says:Hey monster, wassup?

Casanova reloaded says: PAV! Bill will drive me..no us al crazy!
.:Pav*so in love*:.says: Why what happened?

Casanova reloaded says: he is in love with Chloe

.:Pav*so in love*:.says: WHAT?!?!?!

Casanova reloaded says: yeah..kinda my reaction too.

.:Pav*so in love*:. says : you know, I’m coming over.

“Bill COME OUT OF YOUR FUCKING ROOM! Pav yelled, “I’VE BEEN HERE FOR OVER 15MINUTES NOW!”

“GO AWAY!” he yelled back “I don’t need anyone!”

“Oh you so do…Bill come out please.” Her tone changed suddenly. It was more begging this time. “Bill please.”

“Bill, I am begging you, I am doing that. Please just come out.” Tom said

Finally, the doorknob twisted and he came out looking like a mess. His eyes had never been so swollen. Heck Tom had not seen him cry this hard in such a long time.

“Bill, why didn’t you tell us about this earlier?”

“What are you doing here so late?” he counter questioned, but she wasn’t getting fooled so easily either

“Stop it Bill! Don’t divert the subject.”

“There is nothing to divert Pav. I love her. I cannot have her. End of story.”

“Why do you think that?”

“Do I have an alternate option? You have seen her with Sam haven’t you? Can you make me believe that she would even notice me, or the fact that I love her?”

“Such things aren’t noticed Bill, you need to tell her that you love her.”

“Is she blind? Tell me?”

“Uff! Stop being so difficult! The world hasn’t ended you know!” Tom retorted

“Shut up Tom.” Pav said hitting him on his head, then turned to Bill. “Don’t give up so flatly…you never know when it dawns on her that she has fallen in love with you.”

She heard silent sobs reach her ears, making her shrug. She could not see him cry…anyone but him. He was too much like her brother to see him so sad and too top it all he was sensitive. “Don’t give up like that kid…please for me.”

He looked up at her and wipe off his cheeks. “S – s – sorr – ry”

“Stop crying now and forget about Chloe and Sam. HE of all people doesn’t deserve it.”

“And anyway, you can get any girl Bill, you’re my twin…you’re bound to be good looking.”
“Why didn’t I get her?” he asked. They did not have an answer.

“Okay, two days to my birthday…you better get me a nice gift you know.” Tom said randomly to Pav and Bill, the only two people who were there.

“Don’t you worry Tom; I got condom packets on wholesale basis just for you.” Pav replied.

“Fuck you.”

“Not a chance.”

“Too bad you’d miss the fun then.”

“You wish Tom.”

“Both of you…stop it!” Bill laughed. Seeing him happy was a good change. For the past six days, Tom and Pav had tried their best to make him forget about Chloe and Sam and it worked as long as they did not walk together in front of him.

“Should I call Strify to the mall or here first?” she asked the twins, taking out her cell phone to dial the number.

“Call him here itself.” Bill said, while Tom shrugged knowingly.

“What?”

“Nothing” Tom said, hiding his grin.

“You haven’t excelled in the art of hiding things…from me at least Tom. Spit it out.” Pav demanded.

“Why won’t you just agree to the fact that you are smitten by Strify?”

“I am not!”

“You so are!”

“No.”

“Yes.”

“Shut up Tom.”

“Admit it Pav.”

“Yeesh! You are so annoying.”
“Fine, if you insist that you are not in love with him, but he certainly is.”

“Tom, you just need an issue to irritate me don’t you?”

“That’s not true cupcake…me lovvvvveeeeeesssssss you.” He said sarcastically, hugging her tightly.

“Well, I have to admit, he does look at you very lovingly.”

“Not you too Bill!”

“Hey I am just telling you the truth. It is always hard to hear it. Bitter truth.” He laughed, joining the group hug.

“Gosh, what will I do without the two of you?”

“Get bored obviously.” Tom said, “Now call the love of your life before we get late”.

“Fuck off.” She winked and then called Strify over to the twin’s house. The first thing he did after entering the house was ask about Chloe’s whereabouts, which obviously was not the most desired of all questions.

“Oh well… she’s with Sam.” Tom replied stealing a cautious glance at Bill, who seemed determined not to show any reaction.

“What are we waiting for people? Lets move already!” Pav said, louder than expected, in an attempt to divert everyone’s attention, leaving no room for the potential awkwardness.

“Where do we have to go anyway?” Strify asked.

“The mall of course. Where else do think diva will take us?” Tom questioned.

“Oh sorry, foolish of me to ask.” Strify played along standing next to Pav. Tom looked at her and grinned, giving the ‘I told you so’ look, which she knowingly ignored. “What are we waiting for then…lets raid the damn place already!”


Five hours later

This would be my last visit to that goddamned place!” Pav shrugged, entering the house with three packets in her hands. The others followed her inside, with equal amounts of packets in their hands as well.
“This is the third time we went to that place in week! I am not going there for at least a month!” Tom exhaled, dumping the bags on the couch and headed for the kitchen.

“Get me cold water too!” Bill said, “I’m so excited for my birthday.”

“I hope you know you’re very funny.” Strify chuckled

“You’re calling me a clown?” Bill pouted

“No, I’m calling you funny.”

“What’s the difference?”

“Funny means that you make me laugh and clown means that you are a freak who thinks he can make me laugh.”

“Ohhhh…okay.”

“Hey, have we sent the invites yet?” Pav asked

“Oh shit!”

“Aren’t you both geniuses? You still have them?”

“Bill was supposed to do that not me!”

“We’ll give them tomorrow.” Bill replied immediately, worry lines forming on his forehead

“There is no other option you know.”

“Stop getting so worried all three of you!” Strify said. “I think you need to sleep.”

“How can we sleep when the invites aren’t out yet?”

“You finished giving the invites yesterday, with me. Does it ring a bell?”

Pav raised her brow at Bill and then shrugged. “Strify’s right you should take some rest. I would not want an overworked diva to host the show. No sleep would make you look ugly.”

“Do you agree to a sleep over?” Tom asked

“You are most welcome guys.”
“Why don’t you call Chloe as well?” Bill said

“Yeah fine.” Pav said, “It’s been a really long time since we had a sleep over too”.

“Lets see what dirty secrets we can fish out this time.” Tom said mischievously
