------------------------- The sky was a dark, almost pitch, black colour, no stars shone on this very night, the only thing illuminating the forbidden place was the candle on the dark grassy ground beneath. The trees hanging their leaves over everything… making them look like arms, ready to grab the first person they see. In the midst, the howls of wolves and the scurries of squirrels are heard… making the Graveyard even scarier than need be.
Rows and rows of gravestones linger on the muddy brown ground… their original grey colour covered in mud and water from the rain… every single one the same except for who they belong too. Centuries of people, buried deep into these tombstones. Living in a different way.
Living in
death.
Among these dark rows, ghosts lie awake and ready, watching people stare at their gravestones… looking at their faces. Sketched of pure sadness, some crying, some blank. Emotions run through everyone as their family members or friends, girlfriends and boyfriends, lay their, dead and unmoving. While the world they used to live in stays it’s normal self, leaving the dead alone and cold.
Leaving them, without a sorry, a sorry for what happened to the people who died horribly, without an etch of sadness that they died because of earth’s decisions. People who died of fires, or hurricanes or floods. Lay their dead. While other people are walking around jolly and happy as if everyone was happy and death didn’t exist. They don’t realize that people our out in the cold winter storms craving over their lost person, wondering if they will ever love again, like they loved that person. Wondering, if they should dig a hole and die there. Next to the person non-existing to the world.
They just want to
Die. On one of these gravestones a boy who is merely 19, lay their. With his only best friend crying, wondering if they will ever get to see those bright hazel eyes, wondering if they will ever get to see that 1000 watt smile, wondering if they will ever hear the boy’s laugh.
Just
wondering. This boy. Standing next to the grave, wondering if that boy will ever hug him, touch him, laugh with him, just FEEL him, ever again. He is thinking about the many possibilities of how to do it. Wondering how he should, and when he should.
He tells the boy under the grave how much he loves him, and how he is only doing this for
Him.He leaves a blood red rose, on the grave. And goes to wear he needs to be. To fulfil his life again.
The bustling sound of cars whizzing by, some going to their destination, some going to their loved ones, to see their children, to hug them and tell them they missed them very much.
To
Love them.
He sees how buildings over tower buildings, while feeling the soft breeze against his cheeks. He is thinking about the boy. About how he used to care for him like no one else would. How he would be there for him when he cried. Or when their father screamed at their mother. He was there when their father slammed that door hard. He was there when he heard his mother choke on her own sobs. But what he remembers most was him being there next to him, and how he held him so tightly he felt as if they were whole.
Together. He laughs bitterly at the word, knowing it is the worst word known to man.
Together. He remembers the time they WERE together. How they were always happy, how he would always be there. He wouldn’t leave his side, not by a long shot. Until that cruel night.
The night they lost each other.
The night they were separate. Instead of together.
He
screams. He thinks about what it would be like, to be by him again. To be able to touch him again. To love him again.
Instead of never. He made it now.
His baggy jeans and XXL t-shirt hanging loosely on him… he thinks of him, wonders of what it would be like.
“
Du Wirst fur mich immer heilig sein” was the last thing he said.
Before falling. He refused to jump. He told him, made him promise, to never jump.
But he didn’t.
He
fell.My reason to fall,
Fall far away from this world.
To fall and never look back.
To feel the contrast,
Of living in death,
And in you arms I feel safe at last.
