Just to see your face in reality
We are set apart by duality
They have no confirmation of who we are
I’m a believing girl but you’re a rockstar
To hold your hand my heart would celebrate
To kiss you lips would be told by fate
To feel your body heat next to mine
But behind all the others I stop in time
You sing to be by my side
But now I know that you have lied
For I will never get to see
The view when there was you and me
I’ve gone astray
And lost my way
But hearing you
Could get me through
The strangest pains
The weakest cries
And now for you my happiness dies
Just come to me
As I call your name
And so that no one can see me
As I cry in the rain
I hear your voice
Through wires of sharp current
Of a blessed tone
I want to touch but I mustn’t
I think of you
From day to night
My dreams of you
Fill my heart with delight
You sing of things
That break my heart
Depressing songs
Are your fine art
I listen long
